Susan Broussard, Instructor
First Project
3 yards of fabric* You will have some left over for practice at home.

Wal-Mart® has 1 yard pre-cut pieces. Make sure it's not a fat quarter. I'd advise getting three of those yard packs in matching colors. You'll need a fabric for her body, bonnet, dress and bloomers. Have fun choosing. The fabric for the doll body should be plain or gently marbled looking.

-
Cotton or cotton blend, washed, dried and ironed. Any small design, flowers, dots, etc. This fabric is often called quilting fabric and comes in a huge variety of matching designs. Not to be confused with 'quilted' fabric. There is a huge difference.
-
Please avoid the discount bin. The stuff is in there for a reason.
-
Make sure you can easily tell the back from the front of the fabric.
One 16oz bag of Poly-Fil® premium stuffing.
Brand matters. You can get about two of your project out of one bag.
